Seluna
Seluna is a Scottish med-tech startup based in Glasgow, founded in 2022. Their vision is to keep children out of hospital through early, remote diagnostics which supports preventative and sustainable healthcare. Seluna empowers doctors to remotely diagnose and monitor childhood sleep and respiratory disorders..
At Seluna, they are developing a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) which uses machine-learning algorithms to process the complex array of bio-signals obtained during a sleep study. Additionally, they are developing a novel, wearable device to permit remote monitoring of multiple sleep and cardiorespiratory bio-signals from a single, miniaturised sensor. Seluna’s challenge was that, despite having significant expertise in developing machine learning models for bio-signal processing, data analytics, and healthcare diagnostics, their software development experience was limited. Without additional support, building out their platform could have taken years.
Lumen® provided the essential framework and infrastructure needed to integrate Seluna’s core intellectual property into a cohesive, market-ready product. By acting as the connective tissue around Seluna’s diagnostic machine learning pipeline, Lumen® enabled the team to focus on their strengths—innovative diagnostics—without having to build the entire software platform from scratch.
